BE THANKFUL (That's IT.....BE THANKFUL)

1 Thessalonians 5:18
Thank [God] in everything [no matter what the circumstances may be, be thankful and give thanks], for this is the will of God for you [who are] in Christ Jesus [the Revealer and Mediator of that will].

Yesterday after completing a days work, I recieved a text message from one of my barbers informing me that a childhood friend of mine (same age as I -37) and his, and suddenly passed.  After being shocked, I immediately thought of his little brother, the same age as mine....so I called him, and what transpired was GOD-breathed.   His voice was trembling, his words were few, he was understandably still shell-shocked as this had happened today.  No he wasn't sick, there were no signs other than he awaken that morning complaining of leg pain that had never happened before.    As I sought to console and pray:  the Spirit reminded me to remind him to be thankful!  THANKFUL really now, he just lost his only sibling, best friend in life.   But, he didn't suffer long.   But they had a beautiful brotherly relationship.   But .............what more could one ask?   Ronnie loved his little brother, and his little brother loved him.   Ronnie is no longer afflicted with the worries of this world.   He's now in PERFECT PEACE.

I don't know what you will be forced to remember on tomorrow, but whatever it is.....I pray you can be moved to THANKFULNESS as the scripture says...no matter the circumstances.  BE THANKFUL I SAY, BE THANKFUL!   R.I.P. Ronnie Wilson, Jr.   LGLP

  1. I'm thankful for the love of the God because he shows me Grace and Mercy each day. Having a heart that only functions at the capacity of 15%, I am so grateful that he has kept me here. I'm thankful to the God for allowing me the opportunity to change my life and to grow continuously in my walk with Him. I'm thankful that I still have a job in this economy and having a home when I personally know so many that are homeless. I'm thankful for my in-town and my out-of-town family that I wish that I could visit more. I'm so grateful for my church and my church family. Being in the Lords House, and being in fellowship with my church family lifts my spirit and is such a blessing to me.
